Xiaomi Poco F1 Review , Specifications , worth it??

Xiaomi is proving to be a very popular brand in India for the last few years, 4% of the 5 best-selling smartphones in India in the second quarter of 2018 is a real proof of Xiaomi. This popularity of Xiaomi could not continue in the flagship segment, as a result of which the company has launched only 2 smartphones worth more than about 20,000 rupees since last year, which may not be very popular. The performance that Xiaomi has done in the budget and economical segment alike, OnePlus has retained its No. 1 position in the budget segment. Keeping this in mind, the company has slightly changed its strategy and launched the Poco F1 smartphone under its new sub-brand Poco.

In fact, this smartphone introduced by the sub-brand of Poco F1 Xiaomi has been offered at a very affordable attractive price which makes it the most affordable Snapdragon 845 chipset-equipped smartphone yet.

Xiaomi Poco F1 review: design and build quality
While Xiaomi is quite surprised here, it has given the best specification at a very economical price, but as usual, in terms of design, Xiaomi has paid little attention. The entire body of the Poco F1 is made of plastic, due to which the device does not give a premium look which is found in the glass body or metal body phone.

The soft-touch Kevlar back option gives a nice feel when held in the hand but is limited to the top model only.

Xiaomi has cut the logic of using its polycarbonate that smartphones with full glass body are slightly less strong due to which you have to use a case which makes the phone look similar. On the other hand with the metal back either the battery size is bowled or there is an increase in weight which makes the phone a little less friendly. This is not the case with polycarbonate material and is also a bit economical, which has proved to be helpful in reducing the price of the phone.

People who use quite different smartphones will not agree with this logic. We have used very well designed polycarbonate body phones like Vivo V9 (review) or LG Q6 even before this, but the fact that the phone looks and feels like how the phone feels in the hands without a cover. It matters a lot and it also matters to make the phone attractive.

Even the thick bezel at the bottom and at the sides, you will not feel as attractive. Xiaomi has not given the oleophobic coating keeping the price bowl here, due to which the fingerprints on the screen fall quite quickly. Like the iPhone X, the Poco F1 has a much larger notch but here the notch gives you an earpiece, selfie camera, IR emitter and receiver for facial recognition, and on the left side you get a SIM tray while the power The button and volume button are given on the right. The speaker grille and USB Type-C port are placed at the bottom and the 3.5mm audio jack at the top. The Poco F1 appears to be slightly heavier, weighing 186 grams and thickness 9mm.

Overall, we can say that Poco F1 is not as attractive in terms of design as other options seem. Rather phones like Asus Zenfone 5Z and OnePlus 6 prove to be much better in terms of design. Even Nokia 7 Plus (review) and Mi A2 (review) gives a more premium look than Poco F1. But you cannot get all the things in one device and keeping the price in mind, then the design for the base model can also be ignored.

Xiaomi Poco F1 review: display
Xiaomi Poco F1 has a 6.18-inch 18.7: 9 aspect ratio display. The IPS LCD panel has a resolution of 1080 × 2246 pixels, contrast ratio 1500: 1 and is capable of providing brightness up to 500nits. Xiaomi has also given Gorilla Glass 3 protection here. The color and contrast in the Poco F1's screen with the default settings is quite satisfactory. This display looks even more attractive when the phone is used at higher contrast. There is no problem when the phone is used outdoors.
